Stand in Solidarity with Israelis and Palestinians; with Jews, Christians and Muslims Committed to Peace, Justice, and Coexistence and Opposed to Violence, Hatred, and Discrimination Interns for Peace INTERNS FOR PEACE (IFP) was established in 1976 in Israel. IFP was the first and remains the only program with the purpose of training community development peace workers, in Israel and now in Palestine and Gaza/West Bank, Jordan and Egypt; who initiate cooperative inter-communal action that unites all people. Over 200 Interns (community peace workers) engaged 80,000 Jews and Arabs in business, athletic, cultural, educational womenĠs and community development projects. Seeds of Peace Seeds of Peace is a non-profit, non-political organization that helps teenagers from regions of conflict learn the skills of making peace. Set at our own camp in the woods of Maine, a safe and supportive environment is created where the youngsters can air their views and learn listening, communication and other conflict resolution techniques that allow them to develop empathy for one another. Seeds of Peace equips the next generation with the leadership capabilities required to end the cycles of violence. Givat Haviva Givat Haviva is an education, research and documentation center, founded in 1949 by HAĠKIBBUTZ HAĠARZI Federation, in memory of Haviva Reik. The campus is located in the northern Sharon Valley (east of Hadera), Israel. Over 50,000 children, youth and adults, Jews and Arabs, from Israel and abroad participate annually in the seminars, workshops, courses, conferences and other projects offered by Givat Haviva in a range of educational, academic and professional fields. Neveh Shalom Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam is a cooperative village of Jews and Palestinian Arabs of Israeli citizenship. Situated equidistant from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam was founded in the early 1970s on land originally leased from the adjacent Latrun Monastery. By the year 2000, 35 families had settled in the village, and another 15 families were in the process of building their homes. The members of Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam demonstrate the possibility of coexistence between Jews and Palestinians by developing a community based on mutual acceptance, respect and cooperation.
