We light these candles because of the fabulous deeds You performed for our ancestors in those days at this time of year.

Through all the eight days of Chanukkah these lights are special. We are to use them only to enjoy looking at them so that they will light up our hearts to thank the Source of light, wondrous deeds and all deliverance.
