Chanukkah

Prepared by Rabbi Mark Hurvitz

When I was young we had mimeographed blue sheets of paper with the B'rachot and a variety of songs which we used each Chanukkah. Many of the songs here are from those sheets (especially the Yiddish ones). I don't know who at the Westside Jewish Community Center in Los Angeles prepared the sheets but they have proven invaluable for many families around the country since then. Unlike A Growing Haggadah these materials are not a reinterpretation, only a presentation here on the WWW as a resource. But, for the purpose of being a resource, (and because I believe the WWW should be a weaving together of all the resources available) I've added links to the sources and as much related material as I could find. I haven't looked for "winter solstice" material, but that is yet to come. As of this writing (971216) I have other links to add, but neither the time nor the appropriate context.
