When I was a student at Audubon Jr. High School in Los Angeles my favorite "shop" class was printing. I remember staying late (till quite after dark) working with the teacher who helped me print these, placing one sheet of paper at a time in the press, inking the plate. It was not a hand press, so I did not have to pull the lever each time I was ready to print. We got into a rhythm: placing the paper on, taking the printed card off, inking. I've always enjoyed the aroma of fresh ink. And the idea of distributing ideas on paper (and otherwise) has also been attractive.
